Promoter Bob Arum proudly introduced both his fighters. Margarito was straight to the point. He boldly declared a sure win against Pacquiao, promising Mexico a new world title by the weekend. Pacquiao vs Margarito will face each other on November 14, 2010.
"To celebrate my victory, I will have a big party in Mexico," said a confident Margarito in Spanish. Pacquiao was introduced as the fighting congressman.
"The congressman from the province of Sarangani, the greatest credit in our era to the history of boxing, please welcome, Manny Pacquiao," announced Arum. As always, no predictions from the champion. He simply promised an enjoyable fight.
"I'm sure there's gonna be a lot of action because of his style. He's a very aggressive fighter and he throws a lot of punches and that's what I want," said the Pacman.
Pacquiao also invited everyone to get a hold of his biography to be released in a week. The boxers went side by side. Margarito was way taller than Pacquiao. Cameras clicked away at the traditional posing.
